This website has been created in such a way that you can adjust the font size according to your individual needs. In Internet Explorer and in Mozilla/Firefox you can do this by clicking View/Text Size and in Opera you can enlarge the whole page by clicking View/Zoom Factor. If you want to change the appearance or "style" of the website you can do this by clicking "Change style" at the bottom left of each page. As well as the default "Standard" setting you can also select "Black-White" (high-contrast). Why not just give it a try?
The site can be easily read using audio or tactile readers. At the top of each page you'll find two short-cut links which will either take you to the actual page contents or to the service navigation. Every section, button and navigational element is labelled which will help you to navigate easily around the site using your screen reader's heading function. Longer texts have also been divided into sections with sub-headings so you can use the heading function. The music player is the barrier-free player EMFF 0.4 which can easily be used with the screen reader Blindows in Internet Explorer with the help of the Tab, Enter, Space and arrow keys.
The site has been designed in such a way as to allow all the functions to be executed using the keyboard or specialist hardware such as head mice or single switches. Due to the well-known problems with access keys we have done without them and instead arranged the contents in the most logical and user-friendly way possible. If you are using the keyboard to navigate there are a number of short-cut keys to return you quickly to the site contents or service navigation.
For visually impaired people it can sometimes be helpful to view a website without any graphics or in print preview mode. In Firefox the easiest way to hide the graphics is to select View/Page Style/No Style. You can view the print preview in all common browsers by selecting File/Print Preview.
We've tried to keep the site barrier-free as far as possible. However, if at any point you find yourself stuck for any reason then send us a mail to info@spincycle.de. Just describe your problem and we'll try to find a solution.
